Hereford Family Physician Earns National Family Medicine Obstetrics Certification
Dr. Tabitha Davies, former HRMC physician, earned a family medicine obstetrics certification from the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS), a national organization that assesses physician qualifications.
In addition to upholding the ABPS code of ethics, Dr. Davies passed a comprehensive exam to earn this certification, which covered topics from pre-natal care to labor and delivery and post-natal care. This is Dr. Davies’ second board certification in addition to her existing family medicine board certification.
“It’s extremely important to me that I am able to provide the best possible care for my patients,” said Dr. Davies. “This certification has allowed me to advance my own skills and provide a greater level of support and guidance for our entire care team as well as my patients.”
Physicians like Dr. Davies are an important part of Hereford Regional Medical Center’s and Hereford Health Clinic’s full team of qualified physicians and nurse practitioners. Our team-based approach to care means our physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses are in regular communication about patient care to make sure our patients’ needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
“Achieving ABPS certification is a significant achievement and one that confirms Dr. Davies’ commitment to health care excellence and making sure the highest quality obstetrics care is available close to home,” Deaf Smith County Hospital District interim CEO Candice Smith, MSN, RHCNOC, CCRN.
