Employee Spotlight: Marisa Rodriguez, PTA
Great rehabilitation therapy helps patients understand their care, recognize their progress, and feel confident moving forward. For 20 years, Marisa Rodriguez, PTA, has brought that approach to patients and colleagues at Hereford Regional Medical Center.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, Marisa works closely with patients as they build strength, mobility, and independence. She combines clinical knowledge with patience and encouragement, creating an environment where patients feel supported and motivated throughout treatment and recovery.
Teaching is a central part of Marisa’s work. She takes time to explain exercises, answer questions, and help patients understand how each step supports their goals. Her enthusiasm makes learning feel approachable and helps patients take an active role in their care.
That same commitment extends to her colleagues. Marisa readily shares her knowledge, encourages others, and contributes to a collaborative rehabilitation team focused on delivering thoughtful, individualized care.
“Marisa is an exceptional rehab specialist who genuinely enjoys teaching her patients and colleagues, and her enthusiasm is contagious,” said Candice R. Smith, MSN, RHCNOC, CCRN, RACR, CEO of Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “She is knowledgeable and compassionate and builds great rapport with her patients, making them feel supported and motivated throughout their care.”
Marisa’s two decades of service reflect a lasting commitment to excellence, education, and the people she serves. Her compassion and dedication continue to make a meaningful difference for patients, coworkers, and the Hereford community each day.
