Nurse practitioners like Carolyn Jansa, WHNP-BC, IBCLC, help the Hereford care team deliver excellent care.
Jansa has worked at Hereford Regional Medical Center for 38 years, primarily in labor and delivery and women’s health.
“Over the years I’ve seen this hospital and our care team expand to bring even more expertise and skill to Hereford,” said Jansa. “I’m proud to be part of a staff that works together and truly values our patients and their care experience.”
As an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, Jansa provides lactation consultation services in both the hospital and the clinic. She also leads monthly breastfeeding support classes, where new and expectant mothers can learn breastfeeding basics and best practices.
Jansa is dedicated to the continued development of her skills and to supporting other nurses through her memberships in the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
Hereford Regional Medical Center’s team-based approach to care means physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses regularly discuss patient care to make sure patients’ needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
