PRESS RELEASE: Hereford Regional Medical Center Receives Performance Leadership Award for Quality
March 17, 2022 (Hereford, TX) –Hereford Regional Medical Center is recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) with a Performance Leadership Award in Quality.
“Our team has always been dedicated to serving our community,” said Jeff Barnhart, FACHE, CEO, Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “I’m honored for HRMC to be recognized as a strong rural health care system and give full credit to our staff who go above and beyond to deliver quality, compassionate care every day.”
The Performance Leadership Awards utilize the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX®, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. INDEX data is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
“Despite immense challenges over the last two years, our nurses never wavered in their commitment to deliver the highest quality care. Receiving this award is validation of the work we do every day to care for our community,” said Candice Smith, MSN, CCRN, chief nursing officer, HRMC.
