August 29, 2022 (Hereford, TX) – Hereford Regional Medical Center welcomes Ashley Hawes, M.D, to its family practice. Dr. Hawes is a board-certified family medicine physician. She received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia and completed her residency in family medicine at HCA Memorial University Medical Center.
“At a time when so many rural hospitals are compelled to close down their maternity services, our hospital and clinic are proud to have such a strong family medicine program that includes maternity care and labor and delivery services,” said Jeff Barnhart, CEO, Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “The addition of Dr. Hawes to our team further strengthens this program and gives more of our community access to timely preventive, primary, and maternity care.”
“I’m so thrilled to be practicing in Hereford and getting to know and care for patients of all ages,” said Hawes. “This hospital and clinic are a shining example of rural health care, and I’m looking forward to being part of its continued growth.”
Hawes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
