Hereford Regional Medical Center to Begin Renovations
August 17, 2021 (Hereford, TX) – Construction starts this month to connect Hereford Regional Medical Center and Hereford Health Clinic into a single facility. An internal connecting corridor is being built so that patients, visitors, and staff can more easily navigate between the two entities.
“Deaf Smith County Hospital District is proud to serve our community,” said Jeff Barnhart, FACHE, CEO, Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “Physically connecting the clinic and hospital aligns with our vision for health care for the region: to provide a seamless, integrated care experience for the whole family from wellness checkups to lifesaving care for a traumatic event to rehabilitation after surgery.”
Hereford Regional Medical Center will update the community through its Facebook page about the construction and any temporary entrance closures. The hospital and clinic will maintain operations throughout the project.
“This is an exciting time for Deaf Smith County Hospital District, our patients, and the entire community,” said Barnhart. “We are thrilled to grow with you and for you.”
The contractor for the project is Wiley Hicks, Jr. Construction is expected to be completed by Summer 2022.
