Hereford Health Clinic Welcomes Dr. Okobi Edwards Okelue (“Dr. Okobi”)
Experienced Family Medicine Physician Now Accepting New Patients
Hereford Regional Medical Center welcomes Dr. Okobi to the team at Hereford Health Clinic, strengthening our medical care capabilities for the region and adding to the deep bench of clinicians. Dr. Okobi joins the team from Florida where he completed a residency training program in family medicine.
Dr. Okobi’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, labor and delivery, preventive medicine, and patient education.
“With Dr. Okobi joining the team, we’re adding to our excellent care,” said Candice R. Smith, MSN, RHCNOC, CCRN, RACR, CEO of Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “He brings compassion, warmth, and experience to our clinic and hospital, and I look forward to seeing the impact he’ll have.”
Dr. Okobi earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ambrose Alli University in Nigeria and earned a master’s in clinical research from Arizona State University. He completed a family medicine residency program at Larkin Community Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. He also has over five years of clinical research experience and is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed research articles. Prior to coming to the U.S., Dr. Okobi practiced medicine in Nigeria, including labor and delivery and performing C-sections.
Dr. Okobi joins a group of physicians and advanced practice clinicians at Hereford Health Clinic who care for patients of all ages.
New and established patients can now schedule appointments with Dr. Okobi at Hereford Health Clinic, located at 540 W. 15th St. in Hereford.
