Celebrating Physician Assistant Week 2025: Honoring the Clinicians Who Keep Hereford Health Strong
October 6 – 12 marks Physician Assistant Week, a time to recognize the skill, dedication, and impact of physician assistants across the country — and right here at Hereford Regional Medical Center.
PAs help make high-quality care more accessible and support our hospital and clinic in meeting the needs of our growing and diverse patient population.
PAs are highly trained medical professionals who perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, create treatment plans, assist in surgery, and prescribe medications. Their training spans a wide range of specialties — family medicine, emergency care, pediatrics, psychiatry, and more — making them indispensable members of the care team.
In Hereford, we’re proud to work alongside exceptional PAs like Nathin Seals, PA, who brings not only deep clinical knowledge, but also compassion and approachability to every patient interaction. Nathan serves our community in the ER, where his expertise and dedication are helping drive better outcomes and more personalized care every day.
“Physician assistants are the definition of hands-on care,” said Candice R. Smith, MSN, RHCNOC, CCRN, RACR, CEO of Deaf Smith County Hospital District. “They provide patients with access, time, and trust. We’re lucky to have PAs like Ashley who go above and beyond for this community.”
This week, and every week, we thank our PAs for their expertise, their heart, and their commitment to the health of Hereford and beyond.
