Different Roles, One Goal: How Physician Assistants Help Care for Deaf Smith County

Healthcare is a team effort.

From responding when a patient arrives with an emergency to helping someone manage an ongoing health need or access specialty care, providing high-quality healthcare close to home depends on clinicians with a wide range of skills and expertise.

During National PA Week, Oct. 6–12, Hereford Regional Medical Center is recognizing our physician assistants who help make that care possible at Hereford Regional Medical Center and Hereford Health Clinic:

  • Nathin Seals, PA, provides emergency medicine care at Hereford Regional Medical Center
  • With Hereford Regional Medical Center’s partnership with the Cardiology Center of Amarillo, Tomas Myers, PA, provides cardiac care through the My Heart Health program.

PAs are licensed medical professionals who diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, provide preventive care, and perform other responsibilities based on their specialty and practice setting. Our PAs work as part of our clinical team with our physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses.

Recognizing the People Behind the Care

This National PA Week, Hereford Regional Medical Center thanks Nathin Seals, PA, and Tomas Myers, PA, for their essential role in helping our patients get high-quality care close to home.
