Hereford Health Clinic now offers an Allergy Clinic in conjunction with United Allergy. Our goal is to improve comfort and quality of life for allergy suffers. Our department focuses on the safe administration of general, local, spinal and epidural anesthesia before, during and after surgery. Pain management is also available through epidurals. All anesthesia procedures are performed by a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
The Admissions/Patient Registration Office is open 8AM till 5PM, Monday – Friday. Evening and week-end admissions are processed through the Emergency Room. Patients are encouraged to use our Pre-Admission process whenever possible.

Every patient’s dietary needs are met with therapeutic meals ordered by their physicians. However, the food at HRMC is more than just a diet that is ordered. All meals are prepared like a “home cooked” meal. Dietary instruction is also available from our highly qualified staff.
24 Hour Emergency Care Provided
Hereford Regional Medical Centeroffers 24 hour Emergency Medical Services. We are staffed by providers that are trained in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
Our Registered Nurses are trained in ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC. Hereford Regional Medical Center is a Level IV Trauma Facility, as designated by the Space Department of State Health Services. We stabilize and treat trauma patients and if necessary, we will transfer patients to Amarillo or Lubbock when a higher level of care is needed. Hereford Regional Medical Center is equipped with a helipad to facilitate the use of a helicopter to transfer critical patients, when necessary, to a larger facility.

Hereford EMS and Hereford Regional Medical Center want to remind you and your family that emergency response teams provide a lifesaving link between the ill or injured and medical care in Deaf Smith County.
Dedicated, trained professionals, work in ambulances and emergency rooms with life saving equipment to provide emergency medical response across Texas everyday. Ambulances are staffed with at least two trained EMS personnel and respond to calls for ill or injured people. These highly trained personnel treat patients from the emergency scene to the hospital and are an integral part of our emergency system for victims of sudden and serious illness or injury. Hereford EMS coordinates with Hereford Regional Medical Center, Hereford Law Enforcement and the Amarillo Communications Center so that the patients receive the type of care they need as soon as possible.

HRMC Sleep Disorder Services focuses on diagnosis and treatment of sleep problems. The sleep lab has state-of-the-art diagnostic medical equipment and a specially trained staff. We can help physicians with proper diagnosis and treatment of many sleep-related problems.
Some sleep disorders may be symptoms of existing medical conditions. If left untreated, sleep disorders can lead to significant health problems. Most sleep problems can be diagnosed and effectively managed.

The Hereford Regional Medical Center laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day with licensed medical technologists. The laboratory staff has years of experience in all areas of laboratory medicine and keeps abreast of the newest technology. Our lab is accredited under the Department of Health and Human Services for CLIA.
The laboratory has added and upgraded instrumentation to assist in facilitating faster and more cost effective treatment of the patients. Our lab has a full range of both routine and specialized services, ranging from hematology to urinalysis and transfusion services. Most tests are performed in-house which means faster results for patients and doctors.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department offers services to meet women’s needs throughout the birthing and post-partum process. State of the art technology, caring trained staff and comfortable surroundings combine to help make the birth experience a wonderful memory. Prenatal care, Family Planning and Well-Child Care is provided through the rural health clinic.

Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy
Hereford Regional Medical Center delivers a full spectrum of rehabilitative services including physical, occupational and speech therapy. The Rehab department is staffed with licensed physical therapists, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist and licensed assistants. We also offer aquatic therapy in a state-of-the-art pool with an underwater treadmill.
The Rehab Department is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Hereford Regional Medical Center Surgery Services
Our Surgery Department
HRMC’s surgery department has state-of-the-art surgery suites, plus an endoscopy suite for both inpatient/outpatient surgery.
After being pre-oped, you are brought here and introduced to the rest of your surgery team and your procedure is verified and checked before the anesthesia is started. Our state-of-the-art facilities include:
• Two General Operating Rooms
• One Endoscopy Suite EGD/Colonoscopy Special Procedure Room
Our Medical/Surgical Unit is an extension of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit for those patients needing additional care for observation or pain control.
THE ENDOSCOPY SUITE
Colonoscopy, one of our most common endoscopic procedures, has become an annual event for millions of people as part of a regular health screening protocol. Early and accurate diagnoses of colon cancer and other diseases of the bowel, may significantly impact outcomes.
SWING BED CARE
Hereford Regional Medical Center’s Swing Bed Program is available to assist patient in regaining their independence.
Patients receive the services of physical, occupational and speech therapy services. We can accept patients into the Swing Bed Program from another acute care facility with acceptance of your local physician.
